Today Show: Parents using CBD to help children with autism

This morning there was a segment on the Today Show talking about parents using CBD to help their children with autism. While the effects and benefits of CBS are still being studied, these parents have noticed significant improvements in their children’s motor functions and social behavior.

Allison Rodgers is a mother of five from Texas who has a son that struggles with autism. For years, she has searched for treatments that could help with his behavioral issues. Prescription medication left her son with serious side effects, including aggression.

“Little research is out there to prove the benefits of CBD, but for parents who say the cannabis derivative is helping their children with autism, what they see with their own eyes is what matters most.”

NBC’s Stephanie Gosk reports

A friend recommended using CBD as a possible solution. After seeing first hand the effects on her son, Allison called the treatment a breakthrough. She stated that CBD has “gotten him to a quality of life that most of us take for granted.”
